t+pazolite
A consummate veteran of the Japanese Hardcore music scene with a sound entirely his own, C.H.S. label head t+pazolite has just this year celebrated his 20th anniversary at the very top of the game. Those twenty years have provided for a fascinating development, seeing his work evolve from Touhou re-arrangements – an extremely unique scene in its own right – to an evocative and expressive blend of genres, moods and stylish period pieces.
On his tracks acoustic instruments, foley samples, choral sections, vocal cut-ups and fusion breaks mix effortlessly together with beautiful, intricate synths and, of course, some of the most electrifying and ruthless Hardcore kicks you've ever heard.
t+pazolite's work has conquered hearts the world over across 23 solo albums, 8 full-length collaborations (with friends RoughSketch, C-Show, ななひら, Massive New Krew) and a mindblowing 200+ compilation appearances, singles and remix works – conservatively counting.
RoughSketch
Sapporo's star of stygian refrains, RoughSketch is likewise celebrating 20 years of an illustrious career. The prolific master of all things Hardcore and Gabber, though probably best known for his gothic melodies, gloomy soundscapes and dark humor, also pulls double duty under other monikers – such as that of producer uno of IOSYS, an extremely highly respected doujin music circle.
The man has long worked to connect the worlds of Western and Japanese Hardcore via active appearances and multiple features in the Dutch Hardcore landscape, and likewise featuring slots for western colleagues on his own Notebook Records' output.
Gram
The masked overlord of theatrical, orchestral hardcore, Gram has taken the scene by storm with their unique mixture of gothic baroque melodies and fast, ravaging kicks and basslines. Two solo albums and a full length collaboration LP with DJ Myosuke thrust Gram into the wider spotlight with good reason, as such deep mastery of the classical form is a rare yet always welcome addition to the landscape of 200 and over.
Tektheist
UK-based producer and DJ Tektheist is known as one of the frontrunners of the western Jaycore and J-Tek scenes, and has racked up features on well-respected underground labels like GabberDisco, Lolistyle Gabbers and Tsundere Violence.
“Sampling Is God, Copyright Is Joke.”
Decion
Since his early days organizing underground events for high school friends in the late 2000s, Decion has carved out a place at the heart of Finland’s rave culture. Known for his trance-infused Hard NRG sound, Decion’s music is a unique blend of psychedelic tones with melancholic, uplifting atmospheres. As the manager of FINRG Recordings he has shaped the label’s distinctive style and curated talent for Kosmos Festival, bringing fresh energy to the Finnish electronic music scene while honoring the roots of rave.
Now in his third decade in the scene, Decion is encouraging new ravers to explore the rich history of electronic music. For him it’s about more than just the music —it’s about fostering a culture of integrity and keeping the scene alive, raw, and real.
Pages From My Grimoire
Freshly molded Sweden-based Hi-tech act Pages From My Grimoire has set out to test and twist the very boundaries of psy, armed with a style ranging effortlessly from crawling and earthy to blissful and angelic, and a promise to break down the barriers between our plane and, well, the other one.
Project channeller Fearsome Spiky Endjinn, originally from Gothenburg but currently based in southern Sweden, has been producing tunes since 2020, representing local label Lurkmusik.
DOLLVOiD
DOLLVOiD, or Iza Laine, is an up-and-coming Speedcore producer from Germany.
Starting in 2018, balancing the contrast between heavy-hitting, rapid kicks, enigmatic melodies and ominous atmospheres now belongs to one of their specialties.
With releases under labels such as Rising Sun Traxx and Speedcore Abyss Records, they continue to steadily expand their signature Speedcore style by mixing it with various genres.
